A team of RUN researchers presented their latest breakthroughs at the CLEO Conference and exhibition 2026, which took place in Charlotte (USA) from May 17 to 21.
The event showcased key advances in terahertz research, ranging from fundamental science to cutting-edge technology. RTG member and doctoral researcher Sonja Lingl introduced the fastest atomic-resolution microscope ever demonstrated – an attosecond scanning tunnelling microscope (STM) – and stunned the audience. She received the Innovation Award.
Congratulations, Sonja, on this fantastic success!
